Introduction
SledgeLab ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Nicolas Davenport. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SledgeLab mobile application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account Information
- Email address (used for account creation and login)
- Password (securely hashed, never stored in plain text)
- Display name, sport, position, and experience level (provided during profile setup)
Profile Photo
- The App requests camera access so you can take a photo to use as your profile picture. Profile photos are stored securely on our servers. Camera access is entirely optional — you can use the App without providing a photo.
Microphone Audio
- The App requests microphone access when you use Rebuttal Mode, which allows you to speak responses to audio sledges during training sessions. Your spoken responses are recorded, transcribed using AI, and displayed in your session transcript. Audio recordings are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers after transcription.
Training Session Data
- Session configurations (sledging type, voice gender, duration, intensity)
- Session results (duration trained, resilience ratings, reflections)
- Saved presets and training preferences
- This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to sync it.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide the mental resilience training features of the App
- Transcribe your spoken responses in Rebuttal Mode
- Generate personalized AI recovery scripts after training sessions
- Track your training progress and statistics
- Improve the App experience
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
- OpenAI — Used for AI-powered features including transcription of spoken responses and generation of recovery scripts. Audio data sent to OpenAI is processed according to their privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption. Training session data is primarily stored locally on your device using secure storage.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Training session data stored on your device remains until you delete the App or clear its data. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and personal data — see our account deletion page for instructions
- Withdraw consent for camera or microphone access at any time through your device settings
Children's Privacy

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
